Mo Haws

Founder, Haws Law, PLLC

 

Mo Haws is the founding attorney of Haws Law, PLLC. A fourth-generation Idahoan, Mo’s roots run deep in the Gem State. He graduated from Middleton High School in 2009, earned his bachelor’s degree from Boise State University in 2017, and completed his law degree at the University of Idaho in 2020 before passing the Idaho Bar.

 

Why Law?

Growing up ranching in rural Idaho, Mo developed a strong appreciation for the land, natural resources, and the deep connection between Idaho’s agricultural communities and the state’s growing urban centers. That background inspired Mo to focus his practice on real and personal property rights, as well as related transactional matters—areas of law that directly impact the communities he knows and loves. Mo's passion for the practice of law is actually a passion for the people and communities the law serves and a desire to help people resolve disputes efficiently and inexpensively. In this regard, perhaps Abraham Lincoln said it best:

"Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can. Point out to them how the nominal winner is often a real loser - in fees, expenses, and waste of time. As a peacemaker, the lawyer has a superior opportunity of being a good man."

Before founding Haws Law, PLLC, Mo worked as a civil litigator and trial attorney at a respected local firm, where he received mentorship and hands-on experience in all aspects of litigation and dispute resolution.

Outside of the office, Mo enjoys reading, ranching, woodworking, fly-fishing, biking, hiking, and canoeing. He lives in Boise with his wife Annie Henderson Haws, their two dogs—Jac and Stanley—and their cats, Ruthie and Newt.
